Farrier
Marc qualified as a farrier in 2006 after completing a four-year apprenticeship and passing the Worshipful Company of Farriers Dip.WCF examination. He gained international experience before establishing his own farriery practice in Shropshire and Staffordshire in 2008. Marc has a strong interest in corrective farriery, which led him to complete a foundation degree in farriery science at Myerscough College. This course focused on assessing current farriery practices and utilizing new diagnostic technologies to evaluate hoof balance. He then passed the Worshipful Company of Farriers AWCF examination, which specializes in corrective farriery.
To further his expertise, Marc earned a BSc (Hons) degree, during which he wrote a dissertation on static and dynamic asymmetry in unbroken horses, earning first-class honors and the Myerscough trophy for his outstanding performance. He continued his education with a graduate diploma in Equine Locomotor Research at the Royal Veterinary College, becoming the first person to complete all four postgraduate courses in this field.
Most recently, Marc was awarded the title of Certified Journeyman Farrier by the American Farrier's Association. He now lectures at a veterinary school, collaborates with local veterinary practices, and provides educational clinics for farriers, veterinarians, and horse owners.
